Nurse Aid Australia is a clinically serious organisation. We work with participants who have high-intensity clinical needs — and we are looking for people who want their skills genuinely used, developed, and respected.
This is not a casual shift-filling environment. If you are motivated by clinical challenge, ongoing training, and direct access to leadership in a growing organisation — read on.
Not a list of values from a wall poster. An honest description of what you will find here.
Nurse Aid Australia supports participants with the highest-acuity clinical needs in the disability sector — forensic transitions, complex psychiatric presentations, ventilator dependency, spinal cord injury. The clinical work is genuinely complex. Your skills will be used.
We are a small but fast-growing organisation. That means you will have direct access to the CEO and COO — decisions get made quickly, your input matters, and you will see your work have a direct impact on how the organisation develops.
What we will not tell you: that every day is easy, that there are no difficult shifts, or that working in complex care is for everyone. It is not. The participants we support have significant needs and the work requires genuine commitment, clinical confidence, and the ability to stay calm when things do not go to plan.
Four core roles — each described honestly. Specific current vacancies are listed below the role descriptions.
Clinical competency at Nurse Aid is not a one-time box to tick. It is a continuous, structured process that protects participants and develops staff.
A straightforward process. We do not ask for formal cover letters — we ask for evidence of who you are as a clinician or care professional.
Send your CV and a short note — no more than half a page — telling us about a moment in your care work that you are proud of and why. We are not looking for formal language. We are looking for someone who thinks carefully about the people they support.
For clinical roles, include your AHPRA registration number and any relevant clinical procedure experience. For support worker roles, let us know if you have any language skills beyond English — we actively match workers to participants by cultural background and language.
Email us, or call and ask to speak to our intake coordinator about current opportunities. We would rather have a direct conversation than a long application process.
